Check the fuel pump fuse, relay and pump itself. Then check in-line fuel filer and if all else fails the fuel pick-up pipe in the tank.

My 1992 ford explorer isnt getting gas. But it turns over just wont start

Possible bad fuel pump. Have someone turn the key to the on possition with out cranking the engine. While they do this crouch down by the rear of the truck.Listen for the fuel pump. It should make a wineing sound. If you do not hear the pump you should check for blown fuses and see if the fuel cutoff has been tripped. If all the fuses are good and the fuel cutoff is not tripped you probably have a bad fuel pump.

Fuel cutoff light comes on and car wont start

It may be that when the light comes on, the fuel pump cut off switch may be bad. The best advice I can give is to have the switch tested to see if that is the case.

If you're car has been running fine, then suddenly won't start, the cause is frequently that the fuel pump cutoff has been tripped. Open your trunk, and look for a label for a fuel pump cutoff switch. Locate the switch, press it in, and see if the engine will start.
