What is the rim size? Is that number the tire you want or the tire you have on there now? The size you show is a 15 inch tire, The 225 and the 75 are denominators of tire height and width. The 15 is the rim and the R is radial. Most cars, all cars start with P, passenger, some have a speed rating, Z, or X, the 75 is 3/4 the width= the height, 225 mm wide, something like that. Hope this helps.

I want a wider tire,what would be best ?? On a 03/buick century

The stock wheels are 15 x 6 inches so you are quite limited on tire choices unless you go to a larger wheel such as a 17 x 8 inch.

With the 15 x 6 inch wheels the best option is 225 - 60 -15 but this will give you a slightly lower rolling diameter than the original stock tires at 205 70 15. The 225 is a good width for that car though and 225 60 15 is an approved size on a 6 inch wheel.

What size tires are on 2001 buick century

20021 Buick Century Sedan - Tire Size

If you have the standard factory 15 inch (diameter) x 6.0 inch (wide) wheels then the tires fitted were size: 205/70R15 (205 is the tyre width in mm and the 15 denotes the tyre bead diameter in inches for fitting to 15 inch wheels. The R denotes the speed rating of the tire).

The tires currently fitted to the car have the size moulded into the sidewall of the tire.

However I do not know if aftermarket wheels have been put on the car and if so a different size tire from the standard factory fitment may have been fitted to the wheels.

I hope this helps.

2003 VW Jetta GL 2.0

If the vehicle is running with the standard factory 15 inch (diameter) by 6 inch (wide) wheels, the tire size used with this wheel fitment was 195/65/15.

The sizes on the tires you have fitted now are found on the side wall of each tire.

Speedomoter reads consistenly 8miles per hour fater than i am actually going.

Check your tire size. This problem will happen if you go from a "70" series to a "60" series tire. It can happen going from a "15" inch to a "14" inch wheel.

Some mustangs had an odd "15.5" wheel and you would get the same problem going to a "15" inch.

There are electronic programmers to reset the speedometer. Check a good Tire store. Or you may have to change the speedo drive gear and get the next size with an extra tooth.

Need to know how many lugs on a 96 chrysler lhs and are they 16 inch rims?

5 lug nuts , and tire size is printed on all tire sidewall , look at the tire notice something like example > 235 - 60 - 16 , or 225 - 70 - 15 . the number 16 or 15 will indicate if you have 15 or 16 " tires and rims . hope that helps you . if the tire is 16" so is the rim .
