  • Left up-stream sensor (located before catalytic converter)
  • Left down-stream sensor (located after catalytic converter)
  • Right up-stream sensor (located before catalytic converter)
  • Right down-stream sensor (located after catalytic converter)

You need to find out which oxygen sensor needs to be replaced, your vehicle could have 2 or 3. THE ALTERNATOR HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS YOUR EMISSIONS SYSTEM, WHICH MAKES IT SLUGGISH. HAVE YOUR OXYGEN SENSOR IN YOUR EXHAUST MANIFOLD CHECKED.
