You can change the radio but you will probably need a wiring harness

I have a 2006 Mercury Mountaineer I recently had my transmission rebuilt Now my radio's touch screen does not work Only shows Mercury Symbol. hear it but can't change station. Now no sound .Help

You need to input the radio security code because the battery was disconnected. If you don't have it see the Ford dealer (about $100.00 charge) or go here

My radio on my 2008 mercury mariner doesn't work and all the fuses are good

You will need to pull the radio out and have it repaired by a factory approved repair station. Google Ford radio repair centers.

I just bought a 1999 mercury cougar and the gas gauge is not working and the radio quit working. Radio was working when I looked at car but when I went to drive it home it would not come on???? Any...

You asking for someone to guess at the unknown

The gas gauge could be a worn out sending unit
in the fuel tank, which is an expensive repair or
just a loose ground wire

The radio may have to come out & go to a car
radio repair shop, which there are very few left these

You can check fuses first
If a fuse is blown replace it just once
If it blows again then you have to have
someone diagnose the electrical issues

Can not tell you where to start or what to do
without your car and wiring diagrams

I changed the battery in my 1997 Mercury Sable and now the radio displays the word "CALL" on it and doesn't work. How do I fix that?

It is the theft prevention system that newer vehicles have. When power is disconnected to the radio, it goes into lock mode and you have to enter a code and follow the procedure in your owners manual to get it unlocked. If you do not know the code, then take it to your Ford/Mercury Dealer and they will have it unlocked and provide you a code in less then 5 minutes. Most likely they won't charge you anything for it either.

Good Luck
