When driving on the road code P0507 comes up on my 2001 chev. silverado, what is the fix?

Code 507 is for the idle speed being too high. The repair would depend on the cause.

NEW RACK & PUMP: Steering is still hard at slow speeds. Why?

If the belt is slipping it would do even more so at higher rpms. Plus it would be harder to tell if it is slipping at high speeds due to the fact that just about all rack and pinion systems steer easier at high speeds.
My best guess would be air in either the lines or pump. Driving will not remove the air as it is a sealed system.

I have just bought a 2006 used Honda Odyssey and, to my dismay, realized that if the van is parked on any incline, the driver's side (manual) sliding door will not stay open. (Passenger side is fine.) Do...

The sliding door lower roller latch most likely needs to be replaced. It has a spring powered latch that should hold the door open. This spring is probably damaged or broken.

It should be possible to mount a factory roof rack by removing the roof trim molding and the interior headliner. Roof rack hardware would have to be installed from the inside, then new roof trim molding (with sized cut outs for the rack hardware) would be mounted outside. The new rack would then be able to bolt up. The headliner would then be replaced. Possible but maybe not very easy.

Please try an remove the front roof rack. This may be your problem. You likely never use it anyway! Do let me know if this solves your whistle.

Pop! flap flap flap!! mystrerious

I had the same sound that you mentioned. I found it to be the roof rack sliding backwards. Tightened it and the noise went away. Occasionally, it will make the same noise, depending on the wind, but I have always found it to be stopped by tightening the roof rack. Hope this helps.

Wind noise on 2006 Kia Sedona

  1. Pull the covers off from the top front of both rails. They are only loosely clipped.
  2. Undo the 2 screws found at the front and the 3rd screw at the back end of this base piece.
  3. Remove the base.( the nuts are locked in on the roof)
  4. Do this boths sides and then simply release the adjusting clips and slide off.
  5. Replace bases and screws in original positions and push on covers.
Best with 2 people. One each side when sliding off the cross rails.

Solved! And it looks neater.
