You sure? Hard to reroute hoses on a MB.. Most likely culprits in this order, thermostat, radiator cap seal/spring, fan/fans not coming on, viscous fan clutch(mechanical) bad, switch on a/c that reads charge/low a/c charge not turning fan on when interior cooling on.

I got a 2000 dodge durago and i smell raditor when i am at the light i just got a new one installed is there a problem with my truck

open the hood and inspect for leaks. if you smell it, theres a leak. check radiator hoses, caps on radiator and plastic overflow resevor . a flash light may help find a small leak as the hoses run into dark places. the place that installed the radiator may not have done a good job. the caps should be checked with cold engine and the hoses with hot engine. donot remove caps when HOT. good luck

I'm trying to perform a radiator drain (flush) on my 1999 Buick Century Limited. I need to know how.

drain raditor fluid then take off upper and lower hoses and put your house water hose in lower raditor hose and turn on water and let run for about 5 mins. to flush out raditor.
then run in top hose to flush back then lower hose again. that should clean it out.

1992caprice over heating after replacing the thermostate

You either have the thermostat in upside down or you have an air pocket and the system needs to "burp". Sometimes this can be done by warming the engine and letting it cool down.

How do i bleed the cooloing system in a 1994 grand prix?

if you look close to the bottom of the ratator there should be a nipple sticking out about 1" this will be a plastic screw it will unscre and let the coolent bleed out make sure the car is not hot! Open the raditor top first. The screw will be on the left or right side approx. 3" from the side of the raiditor and 2" off the bottom.....A lot of people just remove the lower raditor hose...After you fill it up and run the car for a 15 min. let car cool down and top off the raiditor

Runniung hot and anti-freeze leaks out.. is this a cracked head

if its running hot you need to change the thermostate, 2ed start the car to see where the water is comming from, It may be a busted hose, cracked raditor, or if its going down the block its most likely the water pump.

Car is overheating

First make sure the cooling system is full. This might require letting it cool and filling it more than once though the main raditor cap. Then it needs looked over for leaks. If it won;t stay full it'll overheat. The hose from the recovery tank to the raditor connection at the cap is a problem spot and it the raditor can't **** the coolant from the tank back into the raditor the engine will soon get low. If these things are alright then you neeed to watch it heat up, and see what's happening. The engine should worm up and as it does the upper raditor hose will warm and but hot but not right away. The side of the raditor should start to warm up soon after that, Touching the raditor it should warm up evenly from top to bottom if it doesn;t it's clogged. If the hose and engine get hot and the pressure inside the hoses rise but the raditor says cool then the therostate is sticking and needs to be changed. If the whole radidor gets hot till everythings too hot and the fan does'nt come on then you need to test the fan and it's fuses and connections. The cooling fan will be comanded on if you unplug the coolant temperture senser that's pluged into the side of the therosate hoseing as it's where the upper hose connects to the engine. If the fan seems to be coming on and hot air is coming off the back of the fan and it's still getting too hot and you've decided that the whole radidor is getting evenly hot then the engine may have an issue. Exhaust clogged up ( cat canvertor, muffer bent pipes) The check engine light might be on and the reasons it's on need to be examinded.

My 94 camaro is running hot at idle and while driving under 50. how do i know if my fan is working or what the problem may be?

The raditor may be only partly filled or stopped up. once running and warm if you touch the raditor it should be hot about the same all over. if the top part is hot and the bottm is cold then the raditor is stopped up. with the readitor removed and the hoses removed and a good high pressure water hose you might be able to wash it out good enough to get most of it working, don't forget to wash out the fins where the air goes though. a little soap in some sparyed on water and then reinise off good gets the dirt and bug juice off and it'll cool much better If a car comes into my shop and the raditor is more then 5 yeares since it was flushed and it appears to be partly stopped up i recomend it to be replaced. The fan should come on if you turn the aircomnditioner on, and if you let the car sit and run with the hood open it should also come on as the temperture gauge approches the red zone. it should stay on till the gauge is almost down to the middle. it shpuldn't take but a mintue with it just sitting there ideling to cool bach down with the fan running, Is the check engine light on? If it is the codes may indicate a fan relay problem or a overheating problem and you need to follow the rules for fixing those codes. Mixture control problems( codes ) can point out problems with overheating too.
