Question about 2006 Toyota Sienna
Just recently had my 2006 Sienna fixed after hitting a deer square in the hood. Everything seems to be working well except not long after I picked up the car from the shop my ''check battery light'' would come on periodically. It is now coming on almost permanently. Can't seem to find what ''triggers'' it.
It first seemed to come on when we were using both front ''plug-ins'' for GPS and DVD for the kids. When I would unplug one or the other it seemed to go off. Then it began to happen when we weren't using either plug-in. When the battery light is on the cruise control will not work. That seems to be the only consequence we can find other than the light being on. What is the likely cause? solution?
The manual recommends driving it straight to the dealer for repair. Are we at risk of stranding ourselves or damaging the car as we search for a solution? Thank you in advance for your help.
Sound like alternator is not charging enough,
I would check charging system.
