In a 2001 Chevy Malibu what would cause the gas gage, temp gage, heat/ac, radio, windows, and cruise control to stop working all at once?

Bad ground. You have several of them on the inside of the car. There are a couple on the steering column. one one each side of the car. Under the kick panels on the drivers and passenger side. These have several wires going the a ground plug. Mounted to the body.

Non working gages, windows, radio, & loss of power

Good chance that your alternator has gone bad and your electrical system was running off the battery. Best to have a shop re-charge the battery and do a charging test before doing any other diagnostics.

sounds like an ignition switch issue with car running check your fuses that control these circuits if they are dead check power coming out of the ignition side of the switch if you have power when the key is in the on position and loose it after it's started this may be the issue

Electrical issues

At the left lower dash under a cover are some of the fuses that may cause this, the fuses are clearly marked on the cover, check the 30Amp Power fuse, while there check all of the fuses in the fuse panel.

Intermittent loss of power to the AC/heater controls

This is quite common and is caused by dry solder joints in the back of the heater control unit, you will most likely find that when they stop working if you go over a bump they may come back on, You need to remove them and either yourself or someone who is handy with electronics needs to re-solder whee the internal plug connects to the circuit board inside the heater controls.

Can a radio with money in it make the dash stuff go crazy like air bag light park assit off radio off ac off gages turn off all while ur driving or sitting with it running

If there are coins inside the radio, it can short out the radio, causing all sorts of electrical issues with the vehicle. I've seen this happen before where a kid shoved coins in a radio and it shorted out, it would shut off the dash lights, climate control (heater / ac control), cigarette lighter/12V Power port and so forth.
You may be able to remove the radio and remove the cover/case to clean out the coins, but there could be damage to it by this point. If it is damaged, you'll have to replace the radio.

Check gage light goes on intermitantly along with the temperature going to hot. At the same time the engine sounds like I turned the ac on. I also notice a loss of power. Any ideas???

The "check gage" when ever the engine coolant is high or the engine oil pressure is low. First step of diagnosis, check the coolant level and your oil level immediately and then go from there. Hopefully, this will help you to FixYa problem!

1988 Camry 4cyl LE power loss on ACC to ON

The blower fan is powered by a 30 amp circuit breaker. Its in the box at the pass kick panel. Is it getting power through it? The blower relay is powered through the GAUGE fuse 7.5 amp. Check ALL the fuses. There is a 30 amp fuse that powers the ign switch also. If you get the blower working I think everything else will work.
