Where does the ground wire on the ignition module of a 1987 Ford Ranger 2.9 V6 run to? I believe it is the bottom wire #6, top wire being number 1. It seems like my distributor has a bad ground!

Check there is a good spark from the ignition coil when the distributor is pulsed, if so check that the rotor is not earthing out on the distributor shaft. if no spark from the coil have it tested.

How to check pcm, no spark,no fuel, no injection pulse.99 ford mustang 3.8 v6

When you turn ignition key on ( not start ) does the checking light ,light ? Check fuse's for PCM , are they good ? Find a wiring diagram an check power an ground at PCM . Also hook up a scan tool an see if it will communicate with the PCM . That's how you check the PCM ! Also check the constant control relay module , these go bad an they have fuel pump relay , power hold relay , this powers up fuel injectors an ignition system !

What is it missing for it not to start? Does it have spark? Fuel supply? You need to determine which is missing in order to find out what is causing the no start. Remove a plug wire and ground it and crank the engine. If it sparks, there will be a fuel problem. Check fuel pressure. If no pressure possible fuel pump or power to it

I have a 1994 ford mustang 3.8 v6, when i bought the car it had a slite misfire,i bought a new coil pack, changed the plugs and wires, I hooked up the coed reader and it pulled up P0302. cylinder number 2...

check your compression, you might have low compression in that cylinder-also check your fuel injector in that cylinder, it may be damaged (wiring/connection) or defective.

2001 Ford Focus stopped running while i was driving and wont start. Makes a churning sound but no power is going to engine. I changed the ignition coil, still wont turn on. Any suggestions?

Can you explain more so I can help. What do you mean still wont turn on, engines doesn't start or starter motor doesn't turn. Have u taken out a spark plug and connected it to the cable put the end of the spark plug to a ground and make someone turn on the engine for a few seconds you should see some blue sparks. Carefully use gloves. If no sparks, spark plug is bad next thing to check instead of putting the spark plug in the cable put Philips screwdirver put the screwdriver near a ground not touching about one inch make someone turn the engine for a couple of second you should see the spark jumping from the screwdriver to the ground, If there are no sparks ignition coil or spark plug cables are not good. But u say u changed ignition coil so maybe your cables are not good. There is a connector near the ignition coil disconnect it and turn ignition switch on measure the voltage you should have in between 12vdc + or - .5 vdc if no voltage present there is a blown fuse, Check for it

No spark at all!

you need to check the fuses again under the hood and under the dash if all are good look for a bad fuse link if you melted wires you had to blow fuses or fuse link

1985 F-150 won't start

Does it have spark to the plugs? check the fuses, the hot lead to the capacitor is fused and is ignition power source.
