Check for oil in the water, water in the oil, water signifigantly present in the exhaust. Very good chance you blew a head gasket. Don't know what type or age of car as to if it is worth the money to fix. That will also depend on your budget, need and mechanical ablity. Good luck

Overheating wont start

could be one of many things , i'd start with getting the OBD codes read and then work out why its overheating , is the water pump working ,if the top rad hose gets hot and the bottom rad hose is a lot cooler then there's more than a good chance the water pump isn't working , do you have to keep topping up the coolant ?keep me posted if you wish

You've probably blown the head gasket. It'll have to be replaced.

Replaced starter now overheating and won't start

All you did was replace the starter and all of a sudden it overheats and wont start? were there any symptoms before the starter got replaced? the starter should have nothing to do with it overheating, maybe not starting, but not overheating. have you checked the thermostat to make sure it isn't stuck closed? or a possible coolant leak?

Overheated and now it wont start

overhet then smoke as I'm sure you know is not good. then shut off and will not start, sounds like a blown head gasket, this would allow coolant to escape to the point of overheating, and the smoking as well, coolant in the cylinders via a blown gasket would prevent starting. DW Mylin

I over heated my car know it wont start. Just replaced the battery and still wont start. Smoke from the starter comes out what shall i do?

Don't try starting anymore until you find out why starter is overheating. What was the cause of the car overheating? Was it a severe overheat? If so, it may be possible that the engine is seized now and the starter can't turn it over.

Overheats, and wont switch gears at times.

Well overheating and not starting are possibly 2 different issues. Oil is not the cause of overheating. Thermostat, water pump, electric fans and viscous fan are causes for overheating plus the sensors that control the fans. Not starting could be caused by the overheating but most likely its a fuel or ignition issue.
