If both are not working its the brake switch on the break pedle if only one replace the light houseing thats holds the bulb

Usually there isn't a fuse.....It is wired into the other two brake lights.....Its probably your bulb that has burnt out

Need to change the top brake light on this car


inside the trunk peel back the deco cover, you will have 2 or 3 wing nuts to remove, and a screw along the trunk lid frame,, pop the light out, and select the bulb holder you need to change the bulb in, they twist out with a 1/4 turn,, to the left ,, and return with a right turn

To replace the bulb the cover pops off, you will need a small screwdriver or something like that to remove the cover then the bulb just pulls out and then the cover pops back on.

How do you replace the third brake light bulb?


If you do not know what you are doing you should go to a mechanic. A simple slip with a screw driver can cost a lot of money.

try changing the peanut bulb underneath the main flasher as they should alternate when one is on the other is off & so on..

2004 malibu maxx third brake light


It is an LED lamp and the entire terminal needs to be replaced. I would suggest checking the fuse first, being that the replacement can run over $60

you need to take the hole dash out and on the back of the speed dash there are little bulbs take them out then replace them
