My Nissan urban keeps overheating after it got overheated what could be the cause

Cooling fans not turning on, check to make sure the cooling fans are running when overheating occurs. Not enough coolant in the cooling system, check the coolant reservoir make sure the coolant is at at the maximum level when combustion engine is completely cool,if your coolant is low add coolant to the maximum level. (1)Start combustion engine, let it warm up but not over heat. Turn off combustion engine, when it cools completely the coolant reservoirs level will be lower . Add more coolant and keep repeating (1) until the coolant level stays the same after combustion engine completely cools down.Sensor that tells the cooling fans to turn on defective. Non functioning thermostat. Broken impeller inside Water Pump. Clogged radiator. Clogged water jackets in combustion engine. Broken drive belt. Radiator has something blocking the cooling fins(possibly a plastic bag that went against the cooling fins when driving)

Connie, Were the radiator, water pump and thermostat replaced to try and fix the over heat issue or as maintenance. Engine overheating can be caused by a lot of things, Leak in cooling system, air in system, bad rad. cap, slipping belt, faulty thermostat or installed upside down, faulty water pump, plugged radiator (inside/outside), collapsing rad hose, faulty cooling fan, leaking head gasket, sludge plugging engine water passages, poorly tuned engine, etc..
Take into a good shop for diagnoses and estimate for repair. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

My car is running hot but all my fluids are at the correct levels.

hi connie.... One possible reason a car for overheating is that antifreeze is not circulating through the engine as it should. Antifreeze serves two purposes. It not only keeps the engine temperature level during the winter (preventing the engine from freezing) , it also keeps cars from overheating during the warmer months. It's always a good idea to periodically look under one's car to see if there are any materials dripping from the car or if your car leaves any puddles or stains when parked. If so, dealing with the problem at this point may avoid ever having to deal with an overheating car problem. Antifreeze loss can "sneak up on a person" though. You can see no leaks or evidence of drips and still be low on antifreeze. Use, evaporation and time are enough to lessen its supply. If you forget to replace antifreeze you can be driving along and suddenly notice that you car is overheating. An ounce of prevention beats a pound of cure. If you want to avoiding overheating, make checking your antifreeze level a habit. J.

1999 nissan altima, overheated and no leaks after fluid replinished, but car will start and then shut off after a few minutes.

check to see if your engine oil and antifreeze are mixing.if overheated you burned ur head gasket car will not turn on because it loosing engine compression. to check this you need to do compression test..ur engine will seize if you keep starting it.and letting it keep shutting off.keep damage to a minimum internally
