2007 pt cruiser alarm goes off in cold weather

Batteries voltage fluctuates with temperature. Your battery could be discharging due to the cold to the point where the alarm doesn't see enough power to be on and ready, like in standby mode. I'd recommend getting your battery tested. You may need to charge or replace it.

I have a 94 astro van when it is cold it will start but let it set it wont start till the engine is cold can someone pls help

When a vehicle start from a cold start it is in open loop,it gets more fuel, resistance on the sensors are low,so is the ignition coil. When you say you replaced the distributor is that with a pick up? You also need to inspect the pick up terminal for corrosion. and bad connection, this also goes for the ICM which is recommended when you replace the pick up and you need to inspect ICM connection for corrosion and poor connection

I dont get cold air from ac. mechanic told me to replace evaporator . he tested using a sniffer inside the car after filling freon. Gave me aquote of about 1600 USD.wanted to know if this is a fair pr

For your make and model that is a way fair price. BMW seems to be a little more labor intensive them some other vehicles. But those recommended repairs are well worth it and help the longevity on your vehicle.

Air condition does not get cold or blow hard? could there be a fues or sensor problem that is causing this to happen?

the problem regarding your a/c bot blowing hard might come from your a/c switch or blower. have an electrician check this things and he will tell you what needs to be replaced.

for the a/c not getting cold, have your freon/refrigerant level checked by an aircon technician. if it is not in the recommended level, let them check your cooling system for leaks and cracks

What size battery should I get for my 2000 olds bravada

you need a min. of 650 cold cranking amps. 700-800 is recommended. you can take it to an auto parts store and replace it. they can look up all that will fit your vehicle and show you what is recommended.

On my last service in February 2010, antifreeze level was recorded as minus 39 degrees. Do I need to get it replaced now?

Replace your antifreeze according to the manufacturer recommendation ...

rule of thumb ... every five years.

rule of thumb ... 50% water and 50% antifreeze.

Did your service center recommend you change your antifreeze? If not, leave it alone.

You dont live in an area of extreme cold do you ... like Ice Land or Northern Canada ... (((for security reasons, please dont tell me where you live))).

Passenger side only blowing cold air.

You need to replace the "blend" door actuator motor on the pass side. I recommend getting that from your nearest gm dealer to ensure proper fit. When you adjust the air from cold to warm to hot, the blend door moves to direct the right amount of cold, or warm, or hot air your desire on that side of the vehicle

Won't start when cold

Check the Cold Cranking Amps on the Battery that you have. Normally the Cheaper the Battery the Lower the Cold Cranking Amps. I Recommend getting an "Interstate Battery" . It costs a Little more But has a Warranty and the Cold Cranking Amps that you need. They have never let me Down!
