SOURCE: need marks for timimg belt

On the crankshaft gear there is a VERY small dimple that aligns with a mark on the motor. The mark on the motor (a small triangle) is at roughly 11 o'clock. After you line these timing marks up look at the camshaft gear and you will see that on one of the spokes there is a hole. You need to use a mirror to line this hole up with the dimple on the cover that is behind the camshaft gear. (It is at roughly 1 o'clock) If this hole is 180 degrees from where it should be you need to rotate the motor 1 more revolution at the crankshaft and it should now be lined up, or close. Once lined up I like to take a silver (metallic) Sharpie and make my own mark on the camshaft gear and on the backing plate that is behind it. You can make this mark where ever it is convenient for you. As long as you know where your marks line up, that is all that matters. This way I don't have to use the mirror as often.

  • Step 5 Once you have your timing marks aligned you need to locate the tensioner. The tensioner obviously keeps the appropriate amount of tension on the timing belt.

the ECU , reset on all cars has 3+ ways.
    all do.
1: scan tool push reset button (best of best)
    key off.
2: pull the ECU memory fuse for 5min put back,
3: pull battery neg lug for 5min put back.
4: Pull ECU, (gross way) but does 2 trick.

ECM 30amp, F-3 (fuse relay box)
it is the memory fuse, and is hot all the time, (for memory retention)

2007 camry ecu removed for lost key

lost master key too, if yes, bad news.
only the dealer can fix this.. if true.
the key brain and PCM brain must be married, again, at the dealer.

the toyota system is one of the most secure on earth
and the penalty is , never lose the master key.
there is also a new key limit. that be bad news x100

1.Open the fuse panel cover in the driver's side footwell by pulling down on the fuse panel cover.

The PCM, ECU (engine control module, powertrain control module, brain box, etc.) is located underneath the airfilter assembly. Remove the accordian hose attaching the intake to the air box then remove 2-3 bolts securing the airbox in and you will see it sitting underneath there.

96 ford aerostar 4.0v/6 the a/c compressor wont come on and tested the low and high side switch and voltage is good but there is no voltage to the compressor plug on the clutch. where is the compressor...

The main brain box (ECU) is in control of the compressor. For instance, it shuts the compressor off if the brake lights come on. The brain could be refusing the compressor for several reasons.
