Hi, what do you mean by shaking is the engine shaking or the whole car shaking if its the whole car then try this for me please, turn right on full lock then drive forwards in whole circle and the same backwards and listen for any noises coming from underneath ok, let me know what happens ok.

also describe the shaking is it engine shaking or whole vehicle, does it happen on tick over or only when turning and pulling away, is the engine miss firing causing the shaking or is it only when you drive.

can you rev the engine in neutral to confirm its not the engine causing the shake rev it up and see if it shakes and let me know what happens ok

hi the problem could be one of several things now the most likely things to check are the following.

    1. Engine and gearbox mounts these being worn can cause the vehicle to shake under pressure such as pulling from standing start.
    2. It could also be a problem with the rear diff this is why i asked you to turn on full lock if their was a problem you should have a sort of juddering or shaking whilst on full lock either way whilst driving slow so if this is when it happens then it could be the diff.
    3. if yours is auto box then you could have a problem with the torque converter this can cause juddering or shaking under heavy strain so its worth checking and or changing the auto fluid to rule out this being the problem.

you could check if its a wheel bearing by jacking the wheels up one at a time then with the parking brake off give the wheel a good hard wiggle from left to right as if your trying to turn them and then the same from top to bottom, also spinning the wheel would help diagnose bearing problem, if their is any play than the bearing needs replacing or if their is a grinding noise when you spin the wheel. make sure you chock the other wheels when you take the parking brake off so vehicle cant move and fall off the stands.

let me know what you find out ok then i can assist you further or if you have further questions then please ask

if it was the wheel bearing then you would hear a grinding noise whilst moving slow under load, have a listen and see if you hear any noises and if you do what side the noise is coming from,

Check the trans fluid level first with the engine running. If its low , top it up. Then go back and have them take care of the valve issue.

Hi there .. my jaguar s type 2001 ,, and the engine start shaking to much when you turn on the engine and it shows on rpm also?!! anyone know what the reason plz ;)

have the motor mounts inspected..
in older vehicles when engines start moving more than normal" and tehn they bring rattle noises and unadjustment, this is due to the motor mounts that are universally made of rubber and causes the engine to shake and move exeding its normal movement...

hope this helps.

Car starts to shake when i come to a stop it shakes like it wants to turn off, the check engine light was on but we replaced the coil and it turned off but it still shakes when i stop

There is a lot of things to check in order to find the issue. You can go to an AdvanceAutopars or AutoZone and they will put the scanner for free so you would get the code and find the problem. i woud say spark plugs, ignition coils, old wiring, etc. but it can be a electronic sensor on the intake. so. is a must to do a computer scan on it.
