Question about 1994 Ford Explorer Limited

94 ford exploder ecc fuse keeps popping cant seem to pin the problem down iam starting to think the unit is bad any advice??

    i was thinking bad chassis ground or alternator over charging but its only that fuse and have to wait a little while before putting in another one or it will insantly blow the fuse

Is the check light on?
If so any codes?

Which fuse Electronic Engine Control or Climate Control?
Beside the fuse,what works or doesn't work?
Most of these issues,require test equipment and diagnostic manuals or trees to follow. Not something you can do in your driveway.

Possibly it could be the unit box but why not check the fuse itself if its not appropraite

ECM 1 fuse keeps blowing on my 94 S10 blazer,,what will cause this problem?


A bad relay or a shorted wire. Pull the relay, turn the ignition on. Fuse pops, bad wire from the ignition switch to the fuse/relay panel. If it doesn't, swap relays in the panel. Turn it on, if the fuse pops, bad wire to the ECM or the ECM has shorted internally. If it doesn't pop, replace the relay.

Truck wont start on starting fluid it is a ford f350 2001 v10


I would think that you have a spark problem. There is an Ignition Relay or ECC Relay. Your need to know certain Pin connectors to test the functions of the Crankshaft sensor and Camshaft sensors.

You may have a "check engine" light showing on the dash and it is not apparent because the dash lights have not cycled off with a no start condition. You may be able to scan the truck for a diagnosis.

While you may have fuel pressure at the test port, your injectors may not be opening. But since you used starting fluid to no avail, most likely you lack spark.

Your truck should have an ECC or Ignition Relay and perhaps an ECC diode. These parts provide power to the other components of the spark system. The secondary parts like Crankshaft sensors, the Camshaft sensors, and others use the power from these Relays.

You can satisfy yourself about fuel pressure by checking pressure at the test port, but spark seems to be your issue.

Glow plug light comes on then engine cuts out


i have had this before but i cannot remember what i done to cure it ,its a common fault on VWs as well ,its not the heater plug relay box thats at fault but something else and i honestly cannot remember what i done to cure it ,the light comes on because its lack of fuel if i remember correctly ,common rail injection system and something happens that shuts it down and i have done this fault but i cannot remember ,i seem to recall a problem with the fuses and a bad connection or high resistance across a fuse where the connection pins not the fuse were making poor contact but iam not entirely sure as old age means i have old timers desease big time

LOST ALL TRANNY FLUID


I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it sounds like you either lost your torque converter or the forward seal on the tranny most likely do to an inner pump problem. All this adds up to a transmission rebuild unfortunately.

We are trying to take the water pump out of my 94 ford probe but there is a plastic shield that we cant get off????


Well, I looked at the drawings for all the motor sizes for the 94 Probe (you didn't post your engine size), and I think the plastic covers you are talking about is the timing belt covers...

If this doesn't look right then please post your engine size and I can post the correct drawing for you.

94 ranger has popping noise on the engine area, changed ign. module ign.coil and ecm still popping the exact same way no change what can be the problem


Could be caused by a problem with the emission system. A.I.R. pump injecting air into the exhaust causing unburnt fuel to explode and make the popping noise.

94 toyota 4runner 4wd automatic not getting fire


i had a prob like that once on my 93 ford f150. did u smell burning plastic or wire in the cab when the problem occared. if so it could be the electronic control comp. after i changed all the other stuff becouse of other ppls advice it turned out to be the ecc wihich was my first guess. if u can find it take it out and smell it it will smell burnt usually

1991 ford ranger 3.0 eec relay fuse keeps blowing fuel good no spark.Changed the distribitor, changed the ignition module.


I understand that there is a relay box under the hood with 3 relays. Which is which I don't know. However if you are blowing the fuse TO the ecc relay, then the relay must be bad. This relay controls the spark.

What your problem sounds like is a short in the engine harness. When the engine is under load it will rock slightly this can cause wires to rub. If the right wire rubs ground it will blow out your fuse. Follow your harness from the fire wall to the engine and look very closely for any rubbing of the wire loom.
