These codes let you know the engine is running to lean on gasoline . May be only a plugged fuel filter or weak fuel pump. A vacuum leak can cause this problem . The engine controller may need reprograming with new software. Dirty fuel injectors. Try adding fuel conditioner to the gas tank and changing fuel filter.

Fuel filter location 2004 GMC 2500 6.0 engine

there is no serviceable filter on this model of truck, it is a built in filter in the fuel tank that is built to last the life of the vehicle, if you are having fuel starvation issues I suggest you check elsewhere first as it is highly unlikely that the built in fuel filter is at fault.

Trying to locate fuel filter on a 2004 savana rear wheel drive

if you dont find it between the tank and the engine, its inside the fuel tank, should be like under where the driver sits on the frame (IF it has one)

Under the truck, on drivers side, between fuel tank and engine compartment, sort of under where the drives sit, against the frame.

Fuel filter is located on the inside frame rail under the drivers door. To disconnect the fuel filter, you need a quick fuel line release wrench.

Thank you for using fixya and good luck.

Where is the fuel filter

You dont mention what model 1500, 2500,3500 ect. or the engine code (8th VIN digit) thats really needed to answer questions with accuracy. but if you cant find it, between the fuel tank and the engine, its in the fuel tank, and you dont need to replace it until you replace the fuel pump at approx 125-150K miles

I can't find the fuel filter on location on the truck

There is no longer an external fuel filter. The filter is built into the fuel pump module now.
