Hello... Not sure what is your question. I agree, it could be one of those things plus quite a few more. Too many to list here.

Just keep in mind that a car needs 3 things to run... fuel, ignition and engine compression/combustion.

Good Luck.....

It's mad at you for not knowing how to spell Volkswagen.
Also, if you let the car sit for several months, there is a high likelihood that the gasoline has gone bad. Start by draining all old fuel from the vehicle, and replace with new fuel.
If the problem persists, troubleshoot for a fuel delivery problem (such as a clogged fuel filter or stuck fuel pressure regulator).

Have a fuel manifold pressure test done to check fuel pump--pressure regulator and filter Run fault codes as it may have nothing to do with the fuel pump . It may be just a CPU reset with a code reader following the battery replacement as this causes program corruption which affects the immobiliser .

1999 GM safarri minivan, Sat for nine months in cold weather. Replaced battery, put in fuel. Can hear fuel pump, turns over, but will not start. What could be the problem?

you may need to drain gas tank, they sweat pretty bad when not in use. you also can locate check valve on feed line to throttle body, looks like bicycle valve stem. deprewss needle and have someone turn the key on if no fuel comes out you have a bad or weak fuel pump. more than likel;y its just a little water in tank. if its water be sure to drain fuel lines as well by the way it. by the way it should spray strongly from this valve

Put in some dry gas. If it sat for a long time , condensation, water, could be the problem. Add some new gas too. If you can siphon out the old gas first, that would be good. Change the fuel filter. If it still starts and stops, check the fuel pump/pressure. Test it at the fuel is fuel injected, right?
