Question about 2003 Chevrolet Impala
Is it hard to change the O2 sensor on the exhaust pipe? Looks like the elec wiring going to the sensor my be broke off. My wife reported running over a large swell on a gravel road that may have caused this.
IYou need a special socket which is available at any auto parts store. It has a slot in it for the wires to fit and uses a 1/2 inch ratchet. If the sensor was working before the wires were cut, why not splice them back together. A few **** connectors and some heat shrink tube and you would be back on the road for about $10 instead of paying for a new sensor and socket. Hope this helps.
