have the battery tested as sounds like a complete electrical failure at best , if battery ok then i'd check the timing belt hasn't broken , if this is ok then the drive belts for the steering , alternator etc , this really needs to been seen to give a specific diagnosis , get a mechanic for an hour and get a diagnosis and quote , hope this is of help

2010 nissan rogue is slow accelerating when gas is pressed, VDC light comes on, what is causing this?

When VDC light is on, it means Vehicle Dynamic Control is engaged and it puts resistant on wheels to reduce slipping.
This is the reason to cause slow acceleration. If you have OBD reader, you may find out why VDC is on; otherwise, ask someone has experience on mechanic for consulting.
VDC issue needs to be resolved or you will consume more gas and wear the car faster.

Slow to accelerate from standing

possibly a good place to start would be an oil and filter change on the transmission. Next would be to have the bands and clutch pack adjustment checked . have the fault codes read to see it any solenoids/ servos are not operating correctly
