I am trying to change the air filter and am sure how to get the cover off. Do I have to remove the hose attached to the cover or just undo the clips on front and back? What is the easiest way to remove the back clips?

Technically you don't need to remove the hoses but it is far easier to get the cover off if you do. Use a long wide screwdriver to pop the clips off. If there is a lot of junk in the bottom of the air box under the filter use a vacuum to get it out...it will just dirty up the new filter if you leave it there.

How do you change the air filter?

The air filter cover is the big plastic square box conected to a huge hose that goes to the intake. To remove the cover, snap out the steel clips with your fingrs or a screwdriver ( I think they are just 2 in the Caravan), and loose (but keep it on) the clamp around the big hose I mentioned. It might take some jerking because it gets stuck sometimes. There's an air flow sensor conected to the hose itself, so, if it's in the way or you risk breaking it, just unplug it. All the Dodge electrical connectors have a red safety pin that you need to slide first. Once you remove the filter cover, take the filter out and clean everything (like leaves) off the filter casing. Install the new filter (it goes just in one position), and reinstall the cover, hose and connector. Snap the clips back and don't forget to tighten the clamp. Make sure you don't force the cover to close if it does not look right, some cars use two slots that need to be put back first, and then the clips.

Where is the cabin filter on grand caravan sxt with dual air conditioner controls

It is on the passenger side, behind the lower glove box door. Empty your lower glovebox contents, and press in on the tabs to allow the glovebox door come completely open and hang down. There is a place where the filter cartridge slides in behind this glovebox area.

Be sure that you key is off and out of the ignition to ensure that the fan is off. This filter sits on top of the air recirculating fan.

Hope this helps.

Where is the 2005 dodge caravan cabin air filter

On the 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan the interior AC filter is located under the dash on the passenger side. You need to slide the cover forward and then pull down. The filter is longer than the distance between the floor and the unit, but it bends. Ensure when you replace it you only bend the amount you need to install or you could damage the filter and to seal between the housing and the filter.

How to change the air filter on a 1998 dodge grand caravan sport 3.3 l

The air filter is located towards the bottom of the engine compartment on the drivers side. It is hard to see if unless you know where it is. To get to it start by removing the two 8mm or 10mm screws which hold a piece of plastic duct work to the radiator support bracket. Next loosed the two worms clamps which hold on the round intake duct work to the engine. All of this is located on the drivers side. After these clamps are loosened remove that portion of the intake, you will have to pull a black tube off of this portion of intake also. Just remember to put it back on later. Now you should be able to see down inside the engine compartment. You will see a black box on your right side. The cover for this box is held on by metal clips. When you unclip these clips this cover will open and expose the air filter. Simply pull the air filter out and replace it with a new one. Installation is the exact reversal of this procedure. I hope this helps and please don't forget to rate me.

Caravan air filter

The air filter for the cabin is located inside the van, look under the glove box door there should be a plastic holder that slides to the rearward of the van pull this back and a flat plastic door will come off, the door is two parts.

Some base vans do not have this filter if you look at the bottom of this and see a 1/2 long plastic stud sticking out of the bottom there is no filter in this.
