Try changing plugs and wires. if it still misses try some Sea Foam in your gas tank 1/2 can to 1/2 tank of gas...drive for about 30 minutes. if this helped can you give me a good rating...thanks, i work very hard at trying to help people because i know how expensive repair bills can be and i know i have saved $hundreds of dollars for at least 100 or more people and my thanks is positive feedback or "testimonials".. We here at fix ya need as much information as possible. You know lately i"ve been home with a injury and have a lot of spare time on my hands and i kind of miss my job..i do a lot of troubleshooting at my job and this kind of keeps the brain going. One thing i notice that would help in finding a quicker fix is for you nice people out there, is to include as much info as possible. if this doesnt fix your problem, you could have vacuum leaks going to the intake manifold, or low compression,a leaky head gasket, timing chain worn, camshaft worn, dirty or worn fuel injectors, also if its got an obdII system pulling up the codes would make it a lot easier too. mileage would also help. thank you for your question.

The problem is likely a coil pack. I had this happen to my car as well. I have replaced 3 of my four coil packs at this point. They are aprox $100, and easy todo yourself.

186 red motor. Why does it have a missfire under load?

Engine is under max load in the situations you describe, so any weakness in spark or low fuel prssure can cause this, even a weak ignition module.

Missfire cylinder 8 545

Move the ignition coil to another cylinder and see if the problem moves. If it does it is the ignition coil replace it otherwise it is probably the fuel injector.

1999 malibu 3.1 clyd 5 missfire and now random missfire oil light is on lfters very noise runs rough

Have you confirmed there is no oil pressure and the oil level is full on the dipstick?

The oil pump is turned by the oil pump drive located under the throttle body. The oil pump drive is run of from the cam shaft. It is not uncommon for the camshafts to break on these engines.

It may not be a bad idea to pull the front valve cover and turn the engine over by hand to see if all the rockers are moving.

Kia Sportage slight missfire (intermittant)

This car should still be under warranty. If I had to venture a guess based on experience, I would say that the insulators on the coil packs might be leaking. Take it into your nearest dealer and see what they will do. Under warranty they should also cover a rental car. Let me know and I can see what else I can do for you.

Check engine light flashing runs rough not firing on all cylinder2000 lincoln navigator with large triton engine Hooked up diagnnostic and it said 1. system too lean bank #2 2. Unable to bleed up fuel tank...

you may try your rotor button and distributor cap. and spark plug wires. try your map sensor also they tend to cause a lot of misfiring if they go bad.hope this helps.

Hi all, my 99 sub.350,300k,missfire #2

Have you checked the distr cap for cracks??

If plug is oily looking on brand new plug I would suspect worn rings, which would also explain the high PSI. (Motor job in the wind) Especially for 300K.
