Fuel filter is internal to the fuel tank. No need to replace.

Where is the fuel filter

The fuel filter in 2004 Kia Rio is located back on the driver side by the rear wheel. You can clearly identify it as it is a black cylinder with three hoses going on it. May look like this - http://www.racepages.com/images/products/thumbs/fram/AHG8534.jpg
Hope that helps Shannonwood1!

My 2004 Kia Rio has engine problems. At about 2500 rpms, it stalls out. Not sure if it is a fuel filter probl;em or spark plug issue. Can you help?

That sounds like a fuel starvation problem. The easy route would be to replace your fuel filter and see if the problem is solved.

Where do i locate the kia rio 2004 fuel filter?

Look under the car, its just below the back drivers side door, you will see the filter there, its black if its factory and it has three hoses coming off it, basically, find ur gas tank and work ur way to the front of the car following the lines and you will find the filter. Right by the tire more or less. Cant miss it really...
