One of your runnin lights has grounded with one of the brake lights. try removing one bulb at a time and push the brakes to see where the problem is.

Problem with F 750

Running lights, marker lights, and dash lights all come from the park light switch of the head light switch. So, possibly you need a new headlight switch. Or, if you have a voltmeter, you can do some testing of circuits to see where power is and where lost. Also check the fuse for tail lights and horn.

No turn signals flashers or brake lights

There is switch at brake pedal under the dash. Might check to see if it is working or disconnected.

Headlights flash when brakes used. Overcome by turning headlights on but then stop light on spoiler sometimes comes on. Cruise control cuts out without touching brakes. recent history was blown brake...

make sure the previously replaced bulb was the correct one and is installed correctly. it is a short between the tail light circuit and brake light circuit, this could even be a faulty bulb or bulb holder, the cruise will cut out if the brake light comes on, even if you dont touch the brakes

On my 98 Catera the brake lights work during the day but when the headlights come on my brake lights stay on ? Also when the headlights are on my cruise control will not work ??? Any help ????????

Your cruise will not work if the brake lights are on just like the cruise disengages when you hit the brakes. As far as the brake lights with the headlights, sounds like there is something crossed. If you hold your breaklights on with your headlights off is there a glow of the headlights or your running lights. If your rear bulbs are the round push in and turn type make sure they are installes correctly. You may have one where the contact on the bottom of the bulb is causing a jump of power from your running/parking light over to the brake light side.Well hope this helps and good luck.

Just replaced steering column, and turn signals

Do your brake lights work? If not, Check to make sure the brakwiring is connected. Turn signals and brake are electricaly associated. Good Luck, -Ned_

Where is the brake light relay on a 1984 Fiero

Check the brake light switch. It's located under the dash by the brake pedal. Disconnect the electrical connector from the switch. Jump the connector with a paper clip. Be careful not to let the paper clip touch a metal surface. If the brake lights come on then the problem is a faulty brake light switch.

1985 Fiero: headlight doors will not open

Your headlight motors are bad. Pre-87 cars had a terrible problem with this, upgrade them to the 87-up style. Firebird/Corvette motors are the same.

Brake lights dont work, Turn Signals all goofy

First thing i would do is chg. the break light switch, and make sure to chk. all grounds around tailights, sometimes if there is a ground problem it will travel back thru the hot wire to get a ground, witch in turn makes everything go wackey.

Lights

1st thing to check are the bulbs, if ok (good idea to try a new one, sometimes the filament looks ok, but is not connected on one side, difficult to spot), 2nd check for corrosion, powdery deposits, where bulb makes contact w/ socket. If corrosion is present, clean up w'/ fine sandpaper, coat connection point (contacts) w/ dielectric grease to prevent corrosion. If all this checks out ok, take a look at the brake light switch mounted on the brake pedal, it may be shot and would explain no brake lights. Let me know what u find.
