There should be a plate behind where you removed the chain. clean it real good there should be marks or divits. those are what you line up with. the harmonic balancer has 0 deg mark. find top dead center on the number 1 cyl

Pretty sure it has a timing belt and you should replace it at around 60,000 miles they are designed to last a lot longer but to be safe replace every 60,000 as well as the water pump and idler bearings

Is there a cam belt on a mitsubishi colt 1.1

I have a Colt 2005 Z30 1.1. I went to the shop asking for a shift of timing belt. I was happily surprised when the guy said that it had a timing chain instead of a belt and did not need to be changed. (I do not know how long does the chain holds, but definitely at least twice as long as the belt)

Blew timing belt on 1994 dodge colt. Where are the timing marks on the gears.

Click on the following: direct, free Link. It has the Timing Belt Marks for your 1994 Dodge Colt; with the unspecified 1.5L or 1.8L SOHC In-Line 4-Cylinder Engines.
After looking at the Diagrams, if you are having a problem with locating the marks on the Cam Sprocket LOOK at the Camshaft Key location at the center of the Camshaft Sprocket Bolt in relation to where the Mark should be.
There are several additional diagrams on the Link Page which will be help you in your endeavors.

Let me know if this helped.

'91 plymouth colt ignition module

I had to have the module in my '89 replaced. If my memory serves me, I believe it was in the center console behind the parking brake lever (forward of the rear ash tray.) If my memory is failing me, then it could have been in the forward end of the console (like under the dash.) Anyway, hope the '91 is simmilar and you find this helpful.

Timing belt/chain

This engine has a timing belt.Once you have removed the engine front cover , turn the engine to the marks as shown in the diagram.Lock the crankshaft in this position with an old reverse light switch from the gearbox by inserting it into the hole under the bell housing (manual transmission). Before removing the belt , loosen 3 bolts on the injector pump after you locked this with a 8.5 mm drill bit.Replace the belt and pull the tensioner to 16 Nm.If you are fitting a whole pulley replacement kit take note of the upgraded spacers and their position.e60a21d.jpgDont forget to tighten the injector pump bolts again after you tensioned the belt and recheck your timing marks.
