The best engine oil for Chrysler 2.7l 2005 in use in Nigeria

The engine oil 5W20 for 2.7l Chrysler sebring touring,is it possible to use 20W50 engine oil for servicing of the 2.7l Chrysler sebring in Nigeria with hotter climate

Yes it would. 2W20 is fine when then engine is new. Upon piling up the miles on the engine a heavier grade of oild is needed. the same for hotter climates evn if the engine is new

Yes, they recommend the 5W/20 oil because when the manufacturer submits the milage rating, they must include the oil weight used, and show that as the recommended oil for that vehicle.

you can use 20w50 providing the ambient temperature is above 10 degrees c. However it will not stop oil loss. Only fixing the leak will do that

Engin oil


The proper oil for any car, depend of the mileage, temperature conditions , altitude condition.
temperature below 40 Farenheit. recomeded oil is 0w20.
Some manufactures recomended use 5w20 in all conditions. and miles.
More than 40 f. 5w30 to 20w50,
If you car is in 0 miles to 30,000 miles 5w30
30k to 50k 10w30
50k to 90k 10w40
90k and up 20w50

This is just a recomended reference or table.
always consult with your owners manual.
Or manufacters spec.

Knock sensor


The knock sensor threads into the side of the cylinder block.
  1. Disconnect electrical connector from knock sensor.
  2. Use a crow foot socket to remove the knock sensors.
INSTALLATION
The knock sensor threads into the side of the cylinder block in front of the starter.

  1. Install knock sensor. Tighten knock sensor to 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.) torque. Over or under tightening effects knock sensor performance, possibly causing improper spark control.
  2. Attach electrical connector to knock sensor
