Question about 1999 Dodge Ram
I just bought a 1999 Dodge ram, 4WD with a 318(5.2) V-8, automatic tranny. Reg cab short box.
It didn't do this during the test drive, but now i was trying out the 4WD, And it popped the lever back out a couple trys. Then after i put it back in 2WD, there was a grinding noise from the front end and a vibration on the shifter handle for the transfer case. It It didnt feel like it was out of place, and drove just fine. But that sound... What could it have been?
I did have some trouble getting it to lock into 4WD.
Take it to a service shop you trust,or take it back to where you bought it and get the service records on the truck, and get the phone number to the past owners, and also get a carfax on the truck,I hope this helps you.
