Climate control problem passenger side is stuck at 84 degrees, whuile drivers side will go to 64 degrees

Take to dealer if it is still under warranty,may be a air conditioner control module "expensive"....

If the driver's blend door actuator has failed completely, or the wiring to it is damaged, you will not hear any clicking. Check for appropriate voltage at the blend door actuator, and determine from there if it's the actuator or the control unit.

It sounds like you have "zone" climate control. With "zone" climate control you can adjust the driver, passenger and sometimes other "zones" to different temperatures for the comfort of all passengers. Make sure that the Driver side is set to a cool temperature. If it is then you more than likely have a problem with the temperature controller for the driver side.

First thing that started the outside temperature reading would flicker and finally settled to the steady reading. Then we started getting cold air on the passenger side and warm air on the driver side. ...


That is two separate problems. The "Flickering" of the outside temperature thermometer might be normal to some extent. Sometimes, the voltage from the sensor is at a point where it could be say, 31 degrees F or 32 degrees F. The display may flicker back and forth between 31 and 32 very rapidly until the voltage changes just enough to go make it go solid one way or the other. It probably does this all the time, but you didn't notice until you were paying attention to the temperature problems inside the car. (One actually has absolutely nothing to do with the other.)

The cracking and popping noises you are hearing from the temperature door and the difference between the temperature on the driver's side and the passenger side are the same problem. Apparently, you have dual zone climate control. This is usually caused by one of the temperature doors sticking and either stripping the gears inside the door control actuator or breaking the door itself. If you have both sides set at "HOT", the side that is cold is your problem-child. This will usually also set a fault code in your climate control module and may make your climate control display flash. (but it doesn't always flash when there is a code present)

Driver side ac blows hot and passenger side blows cold but climate control is set on 60 degrees


check your vacume units for the door actuators . some units have a plastic gear drive and the unit has to be replaced on the change over door arm .

Its more then likely the temp door broken or temp door motor broken/stuck. There is 2-3 of these motors under the dash on the side of the evap/heater core box. Some require extensive labor to replace, good luck

Dual heat - only heat on drivers side but adjustable for passenge


The thermostat adjustment control may need to be replaced. Also check the hose on the back for cracks, clogs, or missing.

No heat to passenger area


Had a friend with a simular problem, and as it turned out for him was he had climate control heating which means drivers side climate could be set at 72 degrees and passenger side set at 72 degrees or what ever desired temp, when selecting the temp for the passenger side it would always be cold,
as he found out when operating the heater controls the littles doors the direct the airflow were stripped out under the dash, he took it to a dealership and they were able to oder the peices to fix the pivots for the doors.
