The "pd" after the code means that the code is pending. Meaning that the ECM recognized a problem but is identifying it is inactive. You can gather that the problem is intermittent.
P0401 means: Exhaust gas recirculation flow insufficient. This code has something to do with the EGR system. The EGR valve may be defective of something else within the system is restricted or is clogged and thinks that there is a restriction. Without a scan-tool you will be limited to what you can do or test but you can remove the EGR valve and inspect it for carbon buildup. But you may also want to inspect the vacuum lines and MAP sensor too. Faults in those areas can affect the performance of the EGR system. So be thorough.

Would somebody tell me how bad is to run with the "check light" on because of this problem. I have a 99 Acura TL. Thanks (lameri1@yahoo.com).

I had same code. Took Intake Manifold off and cleaned out the too-small carbon-pluged EGR port using small drill bit. Now engine runs fine and no code showing up after reset. This happens alot with this engine.

The letters pd probably mean pending.
Code 300 is a random miss. Four digit codes are brand specific, code 1305 could be for a problem with the ignition coil or ignitor module. Code 1105 could be for a problem with the MAP sensor or control valve.
Other than replacing the spark plugs, you may need to take the car to a shop to get it checked out. Replacing parts without testing first could be a very expensive guess.

check for vacuum leaks or a faulty mass air flow sensor. all the codes have to do with engine too lean(too much air).

Code p2189 code p2187 code p2189pd code 2187pd

P2189: Sys Too Lean at Idle Bank2
P2187: Sys Too Lean at Idle Bank1

The other codes P2189PD & P2187PD are pending codes.. Meaning the car will have to recheck the errors before it calls it an error and sets the engine light on. They are the same codes as the others just the PD at the end means pending.

Code pd 455

It means a large evaporative emissions leak. It could be a leaking or broken vacuum leak, or a bad seal on the gas cap even. Clear the code and see if it comes back. If so you can replace the gas cap and inspect vacuum lines for leaks. Replace any that are questionable.

I AM GETTING A PO430 AND 403PD

P430 is "Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2)" and P403 without the PD is "Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Volume Control Valve Circuit".
Don't know what the PD means. One place to find codes is "http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/" as well as explanations and further troubleshooting.

You might want to check for a mouse nest under the Underhood fuse block, seen them chew up wiring under there many times.
