Try this, step on the brake pedal and hold it down, then gently move and wiggle around the turn-signal switch while someone watches to see if the brake lights flicker or flash. Did the brake lights flicker or flash?

Both break lights went out at the same time. Think it may be the fuse #15 wondering what else it could be. And, how hard is it to change the fuse? Do I need to disconnect battery?

Check if hi mount brake light works. if so ck bulbs.if not, ck fuse/ switch If switch was bad, I dont think you could get it out of park. Dont disconnect battery.

Rear brake lights do not come on , including the one in the door when brake padel is depressed

check the fuses in the fuse panel,if the signal lights are working at the back then the bulbs are good(have seen all tail lights burnt)then you will have to check the brake light switch at the base of the brake pedal.its a 2 wire switch.one wire should have voltage all the time and the other only when the brake is depressed.if the power is not going through the switch then the switch needs replacing.also check for broken wires at the switch also.this should fix the problem.if the third light is not working chances are the bulb needs replacing.

Brake lights went out, replaced brake switch, and ck fuses all are good. does anybody have an idea as to the problem........

Did you check the brake light bulbs? Replace the bulbs if found faulty.

If the bulbs are not faulty, then the wiring may be damaged at some place.

Have someone press the brake pedal and you check the supply to the lights, with a multimeter.

Brake Lights out on 1991 Honda Accord

After you have checked the fuseand the bulb connection, you may also want to check the brake switch located at top of the brake padel under the dashboard. Once you push the brake padel, the switch will trigger and the brake light will be on. Use simple 12 volt test pen or voltmeter to test the current supply. Enjoy it.
