Question about 1991 Mercedes-Benz 420
Hey ther, If have not found an answer try this.
On the pass side of the remove the floor mat/carpet under the carpet you will see a black panel, remove the panel and there you will see several modules the secutiry modules is closet to the center console on it you will see two connector large one at the to unplug it and a small one at the bottom unplug it this will turn off the alarm system.
To start the car you may need to put the car in neutral and back in park the sensor is may be going bad. try starting the car.
if you want to keep alarm system you will need to by a new module this should fix your problem.

Is it a diesel model? if so you have to wait for the plugs to warm up. there will be a light on the dash and when it goes out it is time to start. if not there really is no trick unless they have installed an alarm that cuts out motor operation. then you need to talk to the prev owner. good luck
