get into car with windows up close doors so its quiet put key into ignition turn key to on position do not try and start it. when you turn the to on position listen you should hear a hum noise from the fuel tank that will be your fuel pump working the hum will only last about 2 to 5 seconds if you dont hear a hum could mean fuel pumps noy working.

Is changing the distributer in a 94 integra a big pain in the *** is there anything I should be aware of. Im actually looking to by the car but the guy says it wont start unless a new distributer is...

no its not to bad but is a little expensive, how does he know its the distributor? Usually it is the internal components or the cap, the whole distributor rarely
wears out mechanically at the shaft. It could be the ignition coil.

Can i put a 1994 acura integra ls trans to replace a 1989 acura i

I don't think this would be possible wihtout some hassles.

The engine type build changed twice between the 89 and the 94 series integra.

I would suggest you speak to Honda specialised mechanic before you purchase the 94 tranny.

Also check out the Honda forums as they ahve guys who have done some handy things with the ol integra

94 integra

This is usually the ignition module, what happens is the ignition component reaches a certain temperature then archs out and fails, when the car does this pull out one of the spark plugs to see if spark is present but do it before the engine has a chance to cool. I t also may be the ignition coil try the coil first since this component can be purchased on ebay motors fairly cheap also I recomend ebay motors for the ignition module to save money.

95 Acura Integra sedan, getting fuel and spark, but will not star

Verify engine has spark. Get a spark plug, and pull one of the wires our. Let it plug sit on the engine, and while cranking it look to see if it has spark. If not, then you will need to have the distributor checked. It could be the pick up coil, ignition module, or ignition coil. Each of which can be tested.
