Could be a bearing or the ring and pinion gear. I would check the fluid level of the rear end. I would stay away from it, it could be a bit pricey to fix.

How to check rear wheel bearings 2007 jeep compass

block front wheels and jack up rear slightly off the ground, keeping your body parts out of harms way you can grab and shake tires, if they move back and forth or in and out even slightly it is time for bearing work

I have a loud humming noise comming from the front end of my 1996 pontiac sunfire constantly help please.

Does the humming noise reduce or change in pitch slightly when turning a corner?
Most likely a wheel bearing failure. Also, when one wheel bearing on one side fails, the other is not often far behind. I often therefore replace in pairs.

There are several things to consider, first I would check the tire balance. Then I would go to the front alignment. If you have trouble on one side or the other you may just have a bad tire.

Noise coming from the rear end of my 2004 honda pilot it really only occurs during cold weather and after it warms up you hear it slightly

When does the noise occur, while driving only, or driving and idle, in gear, or in neutral and park? If it occurs all the time (while driving and at a stand still in cold weather) it could be the fuel pump. If it occurs only while driving, it may be a wheel bearing. Describe the noise (humming, grinding, whirring, etc), and what is the mileage on the Pilot? Answer my questions so I can fine tune my answer. Thanks!

Alot of vibration and shaking when driving the vehicle.

there is a few things you can troubleshoot to find the problem. First I would check your front wheel bearings, when these go bad there is a slight hum, but if left to worsen you could get a loud hum/shaking/vibrating like the car is posessed! Second I would check your inner and outer tie rods for play. and,Third I would check your front tires, if there is a bump on your tire or if the inside of your tire is worn due to bad alignment being a front wheel drive car you could experience the same symptoms. I hope you find your problem and god bless.

2002 f250 shake

You have identified the problem when you pulled the drive shaft and the shake was gone. So you know it is between the tranny and the rear end. If it is not the universal joints, then you have a warped drive shaft.
