You can go to radio store or autoparts store and get a direct plug harness that plugs into factory harness then connect new stereo wires to new harness wires which are labeled and color coded real easy..

After Market Radio Installation

Hey man, you have an amplified system. use a 70-1858 wiring harness and jump the blue/white wire from the aftermarket radio to the pink wire on the second plug. this will power on the factory amp with the aftermarket radio.

HI. there are shorts present within the wiring harness. I would recommend replacing the entire wiring harness, if possible. I would also check the actual fuse to be sure that there is no corrosion or connectivity issues within that particular fuse box connection that pertains to the radio unit.

Looking for a wire diagram to hook up a aftermarket sterio from factory on a 2001 chev malibu

In this car you will need an stereo adapter. Some functions of the cars warning system are in the radio. You use this adapter to replace the factory radio. The adapter facilitates replacement of a factory radio while retaining all factory safety warning chimes and audible turn signal indicators. These adapters are compatible with amplified and non-amplified audio systems. Will retain all safety warning chimes. See this web site for more info. Autosound Central. With the right adapter you do not need a wiring diagram. It will be plug and play.

I am trying to install a new raio in my car but I cant figure out which wire is which. The wire colors are blue, yellow, brown and a light blue or grey.

well sometime's it's all color coded so the new radio should have the same colors. first get the speaker wire's situated and the go from there. after that you only have power, ground, ingnition wire, so it turns off when you turn you car off.

Changing a car radio in a 2003 Magna - similar to a Diamante

Take a stiff piece of plastic so you wont damage the finish on the faux wood grain finish or if you are careful a flat head screw driver and insert in the crack between the radio panel and the ash tray. Gently twist and seperate the panels they will just pop off when the clip releases and there are 2 screws behind there. Now do the same at the top of the panel and gently pry upward from the bottom of the vents and there are 2 more screws there.

I want to replace the car radio in a 2000 porsche carrera .question is what will happen if i disconnect the wiring . will the car sill operate correctly

Either way it goes if you have the system installed into your car there should be no problems with the rest of the car. I know that some dealerships try to scare you in putting in a custom stereo system by sayingthat it could mess up your car. It can only mess up your car if you do not know what you are doing.
