What exactly are you doing? ... are you disabling for personal purposes or is it defective? I think you should consider pulling the fuse that controls that circuit until you can get it repaired.

This car didn't come with a factory alarm as far as I know, so look under the dash for the added system wiring and model and disconnect it.

How to disconnect alarm on s type jag? When trying to start car the alarm starts and kills the engine

if you look under the dash to the left of the brake pedal... you should see your fuse panel... above the there should be a black or gray box w/ two sets of wires coming from it ... both sets of wires have inline fuses... try pulling out either of those fuses one at a time , ie. pull one fuse try to start the car if the alarm still goes off replace that fuse and try the other one... this should disable the alarm on your car.

Can i by bypass my car alram

The car alarm on your 2000 Windstar minivan is wired into your van's battery. When you are making a repair to your car such as a battery change out your alarm can go off. You can easily disable the Windstar's car alarm by disconnecting the battery from the alarm. The battery is connected to the Windstar battery's negative terminal. Disconnecting the terminal from the battery will disable the alarm.

  • Socket wrench
  1. 1 Raise the hood of the Windstar to gain access to the battery.
  2. 2 Loosen the negative battery terminal labeled with a "-" with a socket wrench.
  3. 3 Disconnect the terminal from the battery to disable the alarm system.

MY CAR WONT START BECAUSE IN AFTER MARKET ALARM. hOW DO i BYPASS THE ALARM TO START THE CAR

I've ran into this problem myself, if you're not confident with doing some wiring you probably should not be doing this. This will probably take 1 to 3 hours to do this. If you can get a wiring diagram that showed how the alarm was originally installed. If not find the alarm probably underneath the dashboard, the alarm wires will problem be smaller than a wiring that is in your car. When removing the alarm think of it as this way, someone cut into the middle of your wiring harness and put a alarm in. Would you need to do is remove the alarm and splice the cut wires back together. Instead of removing the alarm all at once try disconnecting one wire in a time and finding its mate. The wires or color coded. For example, black with an orange tracer. This would mean it's a black wire with an orange line on it. If you're not sure look at a wiring diagram splicing the wrong wires together could cause your car not to function properly or damage it. Before you start this make sure you disconnect the battery also. Good luck.

Disconnecting Alarm

Unfortuneately there isn't a one size fits all answer to that. You'll need to find out what kind of alarm it is, and what wiring was hacked into during the install. I'm sure if you get the make and model of the alarm, you can contact the manufacturer for a wiring diagram, and with a corresponding diagram from Hyunai, disconnect and reconnect each hacked wire. This isn't an easy job, but it's the real answer, and I don't sugar coat it. the Stick

Sounds like you have a shorted wire causing a drain. I recommend disconnecting the alarm all together which should stop the short so battery can remain fully charged.
