Hi, i need to put water in my Ford Ka because the light is flashing and havent done it for a while. There are three tanks under the bonnet, one says power steering fluid so i assume its not that one. Then...

Hi, I'm not familiar with the Ka,but did the light go out after adding water? There are only 2 car fluids that are red. One is auto transmission fluid and one is a type of coolant. The transmission reservoir is in the pan, so I doubt you could have seen red fluid in the transmission without pulling up the dipstick. You can also try disconnecting the level sensor on the reservoir that you added water to. If the coolant light goes on and off when you short the terminals in that connector together (use a paper clip), then that is the coolant reservoir. My guess is you got it right.

Heater not getting hot on ford fiesta problem just had new head gasket fitted

first thing to do, although I don't have information as to what year etc, is to make sure engine is cool enough to remove radiator cap, or return bottle cap, whichever you have, and start engine with cap off, and heater turned on, and allow engine to get up to normal operating temperature, and observe coolant level, and add as required if/when it goes down. My thinking is that they have not bled cooling system properly, and that you have air in heater core. Allow engine to run with cap off until rad fan kicks in 2 or 3 times and then add coolant to proper level in return bottle, and see if that doesn't cure it. I'm assuming new thermostat was installed correctly when head done.

Sounds like your clutch cable is caught. Try new cable.

Radio code

I had the same prob. you will have to take it back to dealer to get a new code. Can be expensive. Shop around for a fiesta radio / 6 CD stacker unit already with a code. Mines out of a '98 fiesta into my '85 Bronco ! Stacker unit fits under passengers seat, cable back to dash via under carpet. Mine was cheaper to buy (from a wreckers) and install my self than the dealers costs to get the new code for an old unit. on-line wiring diagrams avalible.

Cheers !
