The part doesn't usually fail, it gets broken by service people trying to remove it. A more common problem is the PCV system, the hoses and rubber elbows tend to rot out and fail creating vacuum leaks.

What causes the 2002 ford focus to be lazy?

The main, common issue with the Focus was the intake manifold. It's made of plastic and is prone to cracking and it's inner butterfly flaps cracking off and entering the engine, causing issues and failure in extreme cases.
Also check the catalyst condition. I've had one focus with a meted down cat, which caused blockage in the exhaust system, dramatically reducing power.

P2004 intake man.control bank 1 stuck open

The intake manifold runner control (IMRC) cables have plastic ends that like to break. Check your IMRC to see if the cable it attached. If the cable s attached, then the IMRC actuator is probably defective. (see diagram)

Where are locate the air filter for 2003 ford focus 2.3

When you look at your engine you should see a black plastic or rubber hose that runs from the air filter enclosure up to you air intake. The plastic hose should be around 3 to 4 inches in diameter. Be sure not to mistake this for one of the radiator hoses. After you locate the filter enclosure there should be 3 or 4 latches or screws that you will have to undo. After you either unclasp the claps or unscrew the screws which ever your specific car has the enclosure should pull apart exposing your air filter. I hope this helps.

Where is the oil filter on a 2007 ford focus st 2.5?

On the 2.0l it is located on a horizontal adapter plate (below the intake manifold) off the motor just behind the radiator. You must be under your car to access it. Potentially, if your car has a plastic tray under it behind the bumper removal (of the tray) may be necessary in order to gain access.

I have a 2001 Ford Focus. Recently, I have a

I'm guessing there should be a tube or pipe that goes to the valve cover. Is the hole about a 1/2 inch in diameter? If so that's the fresh air intake for your "crankcase ventilation system". That hole should not be left open because, dirt and dust can can go directly into the engine and crankcase. There should be a tube, they are usually plastic.

Getting oil into the filter in my focus 1.6tdci= 05

the PCV or positive crankcase ventilation valve is causing oil to get into your intake. the pcv valve lets pressure and fumes from inside your engine escape and it is routed to your air intake to be burned with the fuel. this is a necessary mechanism and function for your engine. if you try to bypass it, it will make your engine run badly, and will cause a failure come emissions testing time. it's normal.
