1988 4x4 Toyota pickup 22re motor where is the fuel filter?

Good day,

The fuel filter in the 1988 4X4 Toyota truck is located in front and above the fuel tank on the right hand side of the truck,
If u desire to change the fuel filter you have to lay under the truck on the passenger side and reach up past the filler hose and there you will find the fuel filter fitted with two bolts on opposite sides across the filter.

Thanks for using fixya..

What is the piece called that the gas lines hook-up to on top of the gas tank???? gas tank is on a 1988 toyota pickup-4cyl-Fuel Inj -4x4

That is called the fuel pump mounting and it is normal for a truck of that vintage to have stuff drop on it like mulch and not get cleaned and rust out the mounting and the lines.

My heat gauge quit working on my '91 Toyota 6cyl. engine. Is there a fuse for this? Where would I find it if so?

Is the Fuel gauge reading properly?
If so, the fuse is not blown; they are on the same circuit.

If the fuel gauge works, I would guess that you may have a bad temperature sending unit.

You may be having an ignition switch problem, or either a fuel pump gone bad. Also check the wiring for shorts at battery and/or a blown fuse. Please rate my answer thank you.
