Question about 1999 Dodge Ram
The fuel gauge warning light and audiable signal sounds, and the fuel gages goes to E any where from seconds to a minute or more. Then the tsystem returns to normal, for a few seconds and then the senequence repearts itselfs. The tank has at least 3/4 of a tank of fues in it. The truck is a 1998 Dodge 3500 with a cummings engine in it and about 126,000 miles.
Yup very frustrating everyone thinks your to cheap to put fuel in and it gets real embaressing. well whats happened is your float attached to your fuel indicator module which is inside your tank has fallen off its or come loose so its not letting the switch function thus the gage malfunction
