Okay , I removed the fuel filter ( on pasanger side not drivers seeing im in Australia) and replaced it with a new one, same problem ,it is turning over but wont fire. I have checked the fuel pump fuse and thats okay. Any suggestions?

My car turns over and wont start. A suggestion was to replace the fuel filter which I have done but the same problem still persists.
Please suggest other trouble shooting fixes. I have checked the fuel pump fuse and that is fine.

Hi, I have replaced the fuel filter with a new one but the problem still persists. Any other suggestions?

I think it might be the fuel pump. How can I test to see if it is working and where is it , next to the fuel tank?

Hi! Yes there is a fuel filter and you can find it along the the frame rail just right next to the fuel tank and near the rear wheel of the driver's side. HOpe this helps and have a good one!

How bout the plugs and distributor? Check the plugs for it may be full of carbon, try cleaning it or much better to replace it. The distributor cap may be faulty not supplying power to the plugs thats why it wont run.

Try to have a quick tap to the battery and have a feel if it has some kind of hum.

The fuel filter is located above the rear axle on the driver's side. The easiest way to replace it is to break the fuel line nut loose on the side nearest the wheel and screw it all the way off (you may have a small amount of gasoline come out of the filter, so have a container handy). Then break the fuel line nut loose on the inlet side (farthest away from the wheel well) by using your wrench to turn the entire fuel filter using the nut that is part of the filter on the side nearest the wheel well. Reinstalling the filter is just the reverse of this procedure. Be sure to check that the O-rings inside the nuts are good and don't overtighten the filter or you might cut the O-rings and the filter connections will leak.

Yes the first and foremost cause for the problem you are facing will be a bad fuel filter.

Security is set. Could be one problem. Fuel system can do this, but rarely. Takes a scanner to see where to look first.

2002 jaguar x type wont start, lights, radio, air have power. clicking sound when turning the key to start the engine. Engine light stays, no engine turnover

Hi .
unlikely to be immobiliser fault ,so check basics, try a set of jump leads or check battery voltage above 12.5,if the clicking is coming from the starter motor with a fully charged battery then suspect starter motor failure.
