The system may be low on freon. I would see about an A/C service from a qualified shop.

Air conditioning blows hot and cold air

You will need to know if the compressor is working when it blows hot air to proceed. It could be an electrical problem, a blend door problem, or the a/c clutch on the compressor.

I have a 1998 Honda civic 1.4i.Turned car on this morning heater on full to defrost windscreen. After 10 minutes still blowing cold air!No noises etc and all settings work but still cold air.Help!

Are the radiator hoses from the engine to the firewall hot? If so, it's probably not the thermostat, it's probably either the heater core or the controls not allowing the heat to get in. Best advice I have (because I had to replace the heater core in my car last year) is to buy a Chilton repair manual for it. it walks you through everything. If it is a heater core, be prepared for a long job...

Honda 1997 civic only blows hot air in drive

if your car blows cold air at idle and warmer air at a higher rpm the most likely cause would be a worn water pump.

Yes, that could possibly be your main problem when dealing with the blower motor and compressor, check the relay box and the fuse box inside the car itself
