Have you had the distributor out? The cam sensor is out of adjustment. You need a shop with a scanner to reset it for you.

P0014 and p1345 codes

Hello billscranese,

The P0014 is a cam phasing code. The phasing system is a hydraulic actuated phase shifting system and is vulnerable to dirty oil. If its been sometime since your last oil change I would recommend that you start with that. The control module turns off the MIL after 3 consecutive ignition cycles that the diagnostic runs and does not fail.

The P1345 could be caused by the P0014. The powertrain control module monitors the correlation between the crank and cam positions and if the deviation between the two exceeds a predetermined amount it will set the code.

Good luck.

netvan

I had a misfire the code is p1345 i fixed that next day the light was still on i pulled the distributor out now it wont start

CODE P1345 IS CAMSHAFT TO CRANKSHAFT POSITION CORRELATION CONDITIONS. POSSIBLE CAUSES TO YOUR PROBLEM IS CMP SENSOR IS LOOSE CAUSING A VARIATION IN THE SENSOR SIGNAL. CMP SENSOR WITH A LOW DUTY CYCLE CAN CAUSE THIS CODE TO SET. EXCESSIVE FREE PLAY IN THE TIMING CHAIN AND GEAR ASSEMBLY. INCORRECTLY INSTALLED DISTRIBUTOR 1 TOOTH OFF IN EITHER ADVANCE OR ****** POSITIONS. DISTRIBUTOR ROTOR IS LOOSE ON THE DISTRIBUTOR SHAFT OR HOLD DOWN BOLT IS LOOSE OR MISSING.

  • P1345 - Crankshaft Position (CKP)-Camshaft Position (CMP) Correlation.Let me know I believe I may be able to assist in correcting this issue. If it's not starting we'll have to reset the distribitor and bring the the engine to top dead center on cylinder 1.

    OBD II Problem

the code refers to the crankshaft and camshaft sensors, the crank sensor has a higher failure rate, but usually the engine will not start or run when it does. the camshaft sensor can fail and the engine will still run. I would check the connections to each sensor for damage or corrosion, the system has lost signal from one of them, if you check them with an OHM meter they should not measure open
