Question about 2003 Ford Crown Victoria
When the problem is occurring, check the power feeds to the Lighting Control Module (LCM). At C2145c (16 terminal Grey connector) check pin 1 White/Violet (WH/VT) wire from fuse #15 and pin 9 Red/Yellow (RD/YE) wire from fuse #6 (both fuses are in the interior fuse panel) for battery voltage with the key on.
If OK, check on C2145b (16 terminal Black connector) pin 6 Orange/White (OG/WH) wire from fuse #27, pin 1 Light Green/Yellow (LG/YE) wire from fuse #23, and pin 12 Tan/White (TN/WH) wire from fuse #21 for battery voltage at all times. Also check pin 10 and 15 Black (BK) wires for good ground.
If the powers and grounds are good, verify the RD/YE wire at pin 10 of C2145c shows to be grounded with the headlight switch on through the headlight switch. Also check the power out to the headlights on pin 16 Gray (GY) wire of C2145b.
If all inputs are OK, but there is no power out on the headlight circuit, try to pull codes with a scanner when acting up. Address any lighting related codes as needed and recheck operation.
If all powers and grounds are OK, the headlight input is good, but the module is not powering the headlights, suspect a faulty LCM.
Let me know,if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
