Where is the ambient temperature sensor "ac delco part number 9152245" located. I have looked everywhere behind the front grill.

Yes I am talking about the outside air temp sensor. The truck has the compass and temp reading on the rearview mirror. Compass still works fine, but the temp reading is only showing OC now. I bought the new sensor, but no idea where it's at.

It is for the temperature display in the rearview mirror. Compass still working but temp display shows OC. Have new sensor, but can not locate.

Depending on the year, it is most likely in the air snorkel

that is assuming you are talking about the the exterior air sensor

can you update your post to include a few more things like what year is your vehicle and what concerns you may have

The external temperature sensor is usually located directly behind the grille and in front of the radiator. It should be relatively easy to find because it will be the only thing in that area with wires.

2006 jetta tdi, ambient temperature location? my a/c quit working and i have no power at the compressor plug, it is up on charge, the dash temperature sensor quit working this winter, this not reading...

the sensor should be located behind the front bumper grill.look through the bumper grill and you should see the ambient temp sender.on the dash, does the display where the temperature used to read have 3 dash lines?if so there is an open circuit in the wiring to the sensor.this will cause the aircon not to work..good luck.

The outside temperature sensor will almost always be in the very front of the car. Before anything else. If it were behind anything, the readings would be skewed by the heat of the car. Check behind the front bumper... look behind the grille and behind the air dam. Good luck.

Outside temperature reads 50 at all times

if your outside temp is wrong on your 2002 Envoy here is how you fix it. part number 15047946 sensor. looks like the wrong part..it's not. take the brace part off of it by pressing the clips and slide out the part you need. Loosen the 4-5 bolts from the top of the grill..attached to brace right on top of the grill..just pull the grill out about 3 inches..put your hand thru..it's driver side to the middle. original is grey box with connector. pull it out, reattach connector to new part and push the new piece in the hole..get the piece from the dealer..25.00...put screws back in grill brace. reset the temp by pressing front defrost, rear defrost and mode all at once. took me 15 minutes..and I'm a 55 year old girl:) you can do it!
