Check for cracked or broken spark plug wires also check for a cracked or broken insulator on a spark plug the best time to look for those type of problems are at night with the hood up an doing a walk around the truck. if that is the problem you will see it.

Changed spark plugs, now Durango won't start unless accelerator is pressed. Once released, it idles up and down then sputters out.

make sure all PLUGS are good and you did not break the cermic on any, upon installing. Then put your plug wires back on as you push in the boot twist left to right slightly. Also check your plug wires make sure none of them were spliced and grounding out. good luck.

Sudden loss of power, Backfiring, starts then stalls

Your timing belt could be broken. You want to have this checked as soon as possible to prevent any further engine problems.

2004 DODGE DURANGO, 5,9L ENGINE

the message is appearing because a sensor in the transmission, usually in the transmission fluid, detects higher than normal temperatures which is usually a result of increased friction which isnt good. I would get the sensor checked before you get the transmission worked on.
