If it has a push button to open the lid then either check your fuse or check the actual switch. Can you hear it click? I would start with fuses.
If its a pull lever check the tab in the gas tank when you pull the lever does the little nipple go in and out or does it just stay there. if if just stays there then you just need to replace the wire. Hope this helped

If someone put bad.gas or wrong type of gas would the car hesitate to accelerate when pressing the gas then pick up speed after a minute?

yes it would, try a gas stablelizer If that doesn't work i hope that you don't have a full tank. if you do you may run it out then fill it up with a good grade og gas to see if that solves the problem. if not the tank may have to been taken off and cleaned out. Replace your fuel filter first to see if that helps.

Ford Windstar 2001 Gas filling problem

The fule tank vent tube is blocked/clogged. It's the little hole next to the filler hose that invites spiders that clog it up. Blow out the tube and it fixes the problem.
