Anti-theft light, will not start

Car will crank but will not start. Has a spark but will not start. Anti-theft light on dask blinks. I entered the keyless code and it opens the door. Mechanic states that all the fuses and relays to the fuel system are working. Is there a way to disarm or diagnose this problem... Thank you in adavnce for your time.

Thank you. This car was driven to get the rear air shocks replaced with regular shocks. The shocks were replaced and the rear tail light was repaired. All this happened while I was out of town. I checked the fuel shut off switch and was ok. I thought I could do some kind of diagnostic thing (turn key to acc, turn signal to left and step on the break) and a code would pop up on the dash. I may have to tow it to a dealer... Thanks again for your time.

The anti-theft devices have usually an engine cutout system - when engaged the engine management system (ECU) is disabled.  Since i don't know what model the anti-theft is and how it was installed i can't be more precise but the cheap ones just cut the power to the ECU and the expensive or factory ones do that by actually disabling the ECU electronically.
To disable a cheap, after-market one all you need to do is to identify the wires that go from the remote to the ECU and short the ones corresponding to the power wire - delicate job, you can damage the ECU if you pick the wrong wires. If you don't have some experience with that it's better to live that to a professional.
Unfortunately you can't do anything if it's a factory one - it can be fixed only by a dealer or authorized repairman.

Car cranks over but won't start or even try to start

There should be a theft light/security light on or blinking if it is a theft related issue. You will have to determine if the vehicle is getting proper fuel supply and spark for it to start.

A focus was running good, but unexpectedly power cut, and i can not to starting again. where localizate a inmobilizer system in the car. Thanks in advance.

Hi ROBERTO... what year focus ? is there a little red light blinking very fast in the center of the dash pad when you try to start the car ? If so that is a problem with ( PATS ) passive anti-theft system. that is what ford calls it ,not immobilizer .If not it's not the anti-theft. Does the engine crank over ? if so there again it's not the anti-theft system . If it cranks over I'd look for a no spark or no fuel condition , and go from there. hope this helps ! let me know if you need more advice !

Anti theft light blinking, dash lights up,windows roll up and down but car wont start. How do I start it?

If the anti theft light is blinking and you say that everything else fine.. My first thought is that the key is not programmed to the vehicle. The key has a internal chip that must be programmed to vehicle in order to start. Now my other question is, Is the key your using for the vehicle the original key or have you just recently had a key made? Regardless, in order for the yur Tribute to start, the key. Or keys have to be program to vehicle by your neighbor dealership. Thats the reason for your anti theft light is blinking

the transponder has failed just under key cylinder a go test would be try another key and leave the ignition on without trying to crank it for 5 minutes then attempt if light starts flashing then anti theft is engaged .

Anti theft wont let me start car

The problem may not be with anti-theft but with a bad fuel pump,cam/crank sensor etc. Also, you may try unlocking the drivers door with the key. On most cars that is the standard method for disabling the security system.

Engine no start

Do you have another key for the car? Try that. If not you'll have to have the keys programmed to the car at the dealer.
