Clutch relaeasing late

Now you have gone off and confused me. Is it RELEASING late or is it ENGAGING late? Releasing at the top of the pedal is releasing early and engaging late. When you replaced your clutch, did you resurface or replace the flywheel? Makes a BIG difference. I usually recommend master cylinder replacement at the same time the clutch, pressure plate, nflywheel, throwout bearing, pilot bushing or bearing and slave cylinder is replaced. That is the only way to guarantee a trouble-free clutch relacement. The original clutches usually last over 100.000 miles (depending on how it is driven) The replacement clutches will not last nearly that long if a COMPLETE job is not done.

I get undersold on my clutch jobs all the time. But I also get many of those customers back when the other shops do a poor job (clutch, pressure plate, and maybe, a slave cylinder) and the car needs a clutch again in just a few months. It has been a LONG time since I have had one of my clutch jobs come back to haunt me. Sometimes you get just what you are willing to pay for.

Please help i have a 1990 318i i need help on howto put valve timing and firing order rigth

order is 1-3-4-2

Timing:

FIRST!! if you have an electric fan disconnect it cause they can kick on at any time and it'll be a nasty mess you'll have to clean up!!

make sure your car is at normal operating temp and your idle is correct,

make sure you car is in park (automatic) or neutral (stick) and the e-brake is ON!!!

the timing marks on this model are on the flywheel and you can see them through a timing check hole located in your bellhousing.

pull you vacuum advance hose off of your dist. (you dont have to plug it)

and attach your timing light to where ever you need to attach it to!

with your car off loosen the dist. just enough to where you can move it with your have but not loose enough to where it will move freely!!

on early models on the side of your distributor body there will be a set of #'s stamped there!

early 84' models have 0 237 002 080

late 84' and 85' models have 0 237 002 096

the early 84 has a symbol that looks like a upside down OT with that line through the middle!!

the later models have what looks like a Zo symbol but it'll kind of look like Z degrees!

if the marks are aligned correctly through the hole than it's fin but if they're not then you'll have to turn your dist. a little either way!!

when everything looks good tighten everything back up but make sure you double check everything you've done just to make sure it's gonna stay that way!!

Is the check engine lite on? If yes We need the codes from the car. Autozone provide this service for free and will tell you what each code means. You also can rent the tool from them. How many miles on the vehicle. have you had a tune up lately? Next time you try to start the car turn the switch on 2 to 3 times for 3 seconds but do not start the vehicle. start it on the 4th try. if it starts there is restriction in the fuel pressure. Change the fuel filter. We can start here. Good Luck!!!

What size wheels do I need for the 2003 sedan? I currently have P195/70 R14 90T on but the site says to use a different size. Also, is there a specific length required for the wipers?

OK HERE YA GO, THE TIRERACK.COM LISTS THESE CARS AS HAVING BOTH 15" AND 16" WHEELS ON THE SPORT HANDLING MODEL PACKAGE, U ARE SURE THIS IS A 2003? MAYBE EARLY PRODUCTION 2003? 2002 AND EARLY PRODUCTION 2003 USED 14" AND 15" ON THE SEDAN, 15" WAS THE GT OPTION NOT AVIL IN LATER MODDELS, SO MY GUESS IS YOU HAVE THE CORRECT WHEELS, WHY WOULD ANYONE GO SMALLER? AS FOR THE WIPER BLADES THEY SHOULD BE 22"
HERE IS PART NUMBER.
TRICO Part # 45220 {Narrow O.E. Metal Refill; 22" Twin Rail Blades with Square Claws (565mm x 8mm)}
Left; For O.E. Narrow Blade
