Have you checked the high side relay, the rad fan if its only one instead of two, the rad fan should switch to high not low. Also flush the radiator that might help too.

Hi! I have a 2006 Saturn Vue 4 cylinder with 91,000 miles. I always keep my AC on max. The other day I turned the temp warmer. Well the next morning the AC stopped blowing cold air. I noticed before...

The car will idle funny due to the air-conditioner on ,when on it takes power from the motor about 10-20hp depennding, and with the air on all the time its robbing you of fuel mileage.put the temp back to cold and use norm-air max should be used to get real cold and then switch to norm.if you want warm air, then put on vent and stop wasting fuel, with a.c on when you have it on the red area.

2001 Saturn L200 Air conditioner issue

You need to make sure the freon is correct,by having ac gauges put on the system,if the compressor is running the gauges will tell if there is a problem with the ac system itself, now,it can be the temp door actuator motor that is in the dash,if it is not moving the temp door open,it will need to be replaced.

My lincoln mk8 AC started cooling some times and not cooling at other times. The outside temperature is always way off from what it should be when the AC stops cooling. My car has about 60,000 miles on it....

might be the same thing.. but maybe not

personally, it sounds like your IAT (intake air temp) sensor if your dash is displaying incorrect temperatures

If outside temp is less than 60 your a/c should not operate full time and if outside temp is less than 30 won't work at all

98 Saturn SL AC/cooling fan will NOT work

Do not let this car over heat a blown head gasket will ensue. Locate and replace the fan relay, if that doesn't fix the problem unplug fan and use jumper wires to ground the plug then feed power to the positive side of plug to check fan, if that doesn't work replace the coolant temperature sensor located somewhere near the intake manifold or thermostat housing area.

Ac not blowing cold air

either you are out of refrigerant (means there is a leak) or the fuse is blown for the compressor clutch circuit. check your fuse box for any blown fuses first, then if your a/c is R134a get a gauge kit and check the pressure if you can get it to turn on. it should be 25-35psi. if your car is the older R12 system you will have to have it retro-fitted.

When idling saturn ls 4dr sedan wants to overheat

Sounds like either you are low on coolant or the cooling fan isn't working. With engine cool remove radiator cap and check coolant level, top off if necessary. If full start engine and turn on A/C full blast, full cold the cooling fan should come on almost instantly, unless there are two individual cooling fans in which case only one may turn on. If no fans turn on check all fuses whether related to fan or not. If all fuses fine try swapping relays around, they are usually all the same size/style. If fan still doen't work you have either an open positve or ground side of the circuit, Which will require wiring schematics and a multimeter. If coolant full and fan/s turn on and engine still overheats you'll need a new thermostat installed.

2000 sebring. Overheats with air conditioning on.

I just had my coolant flushed and my radiator cooling fan replaced. The car was slightly overheating and would "gargle" in the coolant bowl after I turned the engine off. It turned out to be the radiator was clogged up on one side.

I went full tilt and replaced the radiator, water pump, thermostat, radiator cap and timing belt. I have 85,000 miles on the car and it was about time to do these things anyway. It is running like a new car now.
