Replaced relay and it still over heats. fan does not come on

Have you tried to bypass electrical system by running wires from battery straight to fan??? just to make sure fan is good.. also make sure radiator is full including heater core.. the sensor doesnt work if it doesnt have coolant..also make sure the fuses are good..

Electric fan does not work

This can be due to a bad relay or coolant sensor that turns on the fan or a bad fan, a good test to do to see if the relay and the fan work is to start the engine and then turn on the ac, if the ac doesnt work then unplug the coolant temp sensor this will turn on the check engine light but it will reset when you restart engine, if the fan turns on then fan and relay are good and its the sensor, if the fan doesnt run then it may be the relay or fan, a quick test of the fan is to dissconnect plug to fan and run a power and ground wire to fan and if it runs then you have a bad relay, hope this helps,e0be4e7.gif

The car overheats from time to time please help what is likely to be the problems

this could be a electric cooling fan located in front or behind the radiator,if your in traffic and the fan doesnt kick in your car wil overheat but when your just driving it probably will not.A simple test is to open the hood run the c ar and turn on the air conditioning, the fan should come on shortly if it doesnt this is a problem and should be lloked into, also make sure coolant is topped up and there are no leaks as air pockets would also cause overheating issues

Z28 95 running hot

Is the fan running or do you have an electric fan? If fan isnt running or never comes on no matter what you do it will never run much cooler. If fan is good then you could flush the radiator a couple of times and that will help but if fan isnt working it wont last long

Electrical

If the fan only works on "high" fan speed then you need to buy what is called a blower motor resistor. You might be able to get one from your local parts store. I don't think that is a dealer item because of the age of the car. But if it is it shouldn't be very expensive. This I'm positive will solve the issue with the front fan. Don't have enough information about the rear . Hope this is helpful.

Radiator fan not working

Check your thermostat and check to see if the electric motor has power or not may be a damaged wire or a fried fan motor, you can also check the fan motor by running a power lead from your battery.good luck

Radiator cooling fan doesn't come on.

first unplug the cooling fan at its plug and supply 12v to the fan if it doesnt run then replace if it does run follow the power wire to the thermal water switch usualy located at the bottom of the radiator.Use test light/probe to check that you have power into the switch and when engine is hot you should have power both in and out of the switch.if not replace thermal water switch. If that is working you will need to find out why you have no power to the switch.Check that your fuse and relay is working correctly.Sometimes just pulling out the relay and putting back in will make it work due to poor contact. Also try swapping relays with others in the same box near battery to identify if relay is faulty
